Hello to the world of blogging. I love reading blogs, so I figured we'd try this out.

A little about us and how we met...
Mark and I met on July 4, 2005. I had just graduated in May from Manchester College and was looking for a teaching job. I met Mark while trying to play matchmaker for one of my best friends. Although the matchmaking did not pan out, I met my soul mate. We met at Steak and Shake on the 4th of July. I have to admit, I made the first move by sending Mark an e-mail. He later replied...and the rest is history. Mark was then and still is in college, he graduates this May. In August of 2005 I found a teaching job (physical education) in our hometown. I did that for one year. A free public early childhood center opened the next year and I've been there since. I love teaching Pre K.
Mark and I were dating for almost two years when he asked me to marry him (May 2007.) He took me to our local beach, in the sand dunes, and played a song he wrote for me. (He plays the guitar and sings.) He's amazing. He asked me then to marry him.
The rest of 2007 and 2008 consisted of a lot of wedding planning! I also made a huge purchase... a house. Mark lived in the house by himself from January until we got married in June. We got married June 21, 2008. Married life is great, but it definitely takes work! Our lives are so blessed and we are very thankful for God's wonderful blessings.
We have an amazing family and great friends. God is so good.

So that's a little about us and how we met.

2009 is here and we look forward to many great new beginnings and adventures. I hope this blog will keep all of our friends and family posted about our life. I hope to post pictures soon from our wedding, honeymoon, and our new house. (Although I need Mark's help...he's a computer major and great with this kind of stuff...)
